Pathstone Mental Health is seeking a 2 Permanent Full-Time Social Worker / Registered Therapist (Masters), including a short term contract ending October 2022. These positions require experience working with complex clinical profiles including dual diagnosis, ASD and Co-morbid Mental Health, experience with the CPS Model and experience with an Ecological model of treatment and intervention.

These are unionized (OPSEU) positions working 35 hour per week and will require a flexible work schedule.

Salary: $33.92 per hour (to start as per collective agreement)

Areas of Assignment:

  1. One Permanent Full-time position will reside in 2 Days in Early Years (14 hours) and 3 Days in Clinics (21 hours);
  2. One Permanent Full-time position will reside in Outreach Services – FPP;
  3. One 8 month Contract ending October 2022 will reside in Brief Services.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides evidence-based treatment to children, youth and their families in a clinical setting.

2. Works in collaboration with assessment, residential, crisis, day treatment, and intensive support services to ensure comprehensive treatment planning and delivery of integrated services.

3. May supervise Master’s level students.

4. May provide specialized services including Sexual Treatment to high-risk clients.

5. May undertake specialized assessments and take lead role in assessments.

6. Documents contacts and processes as per agency formats and standards with joint responsibilities for treatment plans as multidisciplinary teams require.

7. Liaises as required with other agencies, schools, paediatricians, and psychiatrists.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adheres to the organizational policies and procedures of Pathstone Mental Health.

2. Maintains documentation and records in accordance with established policies and standards.

3. Completes monthly service statistics.

4. Participates in staff and regular service meetings as required.

5. Participates in relevant in-service training / conferences/ seminars and workshops for the purpose of professional development within service plan goals and financial limits.

6. Participates in the setting and implementation of organizational and individual goals and objectives.

7. Other duties as assigned.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume responsibility for a safe work environment and safe working practices.

i. Work in a safe manner and maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

ii. Report unsafe situations and conditions to immediate Manager for resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S.W., M.A.;
  • Registered with regulatory body OCSWSSW, CRPO, BCBA, BCABA;
  • 2 years clinical experience
  • Experience working with children/youth who meet the Ministry definition of Complex Special Needs;
  • Experience with development/ implementation / evaluation of clinical intervention plans;
  • Experience and / or training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions in assessments, individual, family, group therapy and brief solution focused treatment;
  • Familiarity with offering services via platforms (i.e. email, text, online counselling) would be considered an asset;
  • If direct virtual supports are unfamiliar then an understanding of the various forms of virtual care, as well as an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities would be an asset;
  • Experience working with the Indigenous population is an asset;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • A current Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check within the last six (6) months;
  • Bilingualism in (French / English) is preferred;
  • Valid driver’s license, able to supply own vehicle, and be insurable to drive in Ontario
