Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to drive the growth of our business in Canada and the US. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in Industrial Sales. The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth and expands our customer base.

Key Roles

(a) Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

 Maintaining and growing positive and valuable relationships with existing client base in an assigned Industry Vertical(s), and growing our client base by identifying and pursuing leads and prospects through cold-calling, networking, and referrals, developing and supporting the dealer network, and meeting with Management on a weekly basis at a minimum to report on sales activity and business development plans. All interactions and all communications with any company or contact affiliated with Cantherm MUST be entered in detail into our CRM.

(b) Secondary Roles and Responsibilities:

Manning booths at various trade shows and / or general trade show attendance, developing marketing strategies, managing marketing efforts through vehicles such as social media activity, print and radio ads, assisting with general operations of the business, such as, administrative tasks, shipping, organizing, cleaning, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

(a) Developing and Maintaining Relationships with Key Customers:

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers to ensure that the company is meeting their needs, to generate new business and maintain existing business and addressing any issues they may have. This may involve attending industry events, hosting meetings, and coordinating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

(b) Keeping Up with Industry Trends:

You will need to stay up to date with industry trends, market changes, and new technologies that can help the company achieve its business development goals.

(c) Research Potential Prospects:

Once you have defined your target audience, the next step is to research potential prospects. This may involve using tools such as LinkedIn, sales intelligence platforms, or company directories to identify individuals who fit your target audience.

(d) Building Relationships with Customers:

You will need to build relationships with potential and existing customers to understand their needs, provide them with product or service information, and address any concerns they may have.

(e) Demonstrating Products and Services:

You will need to demonstrate the features and benefits of the company’s products or services to potential customers to help them understand how the products or services can meet their needs.

(f) Managing Customer Relationships:

You will need to manage customer relationships and provide ongoing support to ensure that customers are satisfied with the company’s products or services.

(g) Prospecting and Lead Generation:

You will be responsible for identifying potential customers and generating leads. This may involve cold calling, email marketing, attending trade shows, or other methods of outreach.

(h) Qualify Prospects:

After you have identified potential prospects, the next step is to qualify them. This involves assessing whether they have a need for your product or service, whether they have the budget to make a purchase, and whether they are the decision-maker or influencer in the buying process.

(i) Make Initial Contact

Once you have qualified a prospect, the next step is to make initial contact. This may involve sending an email, making a phone call, or sending a LinkedIn message.

(j) Build Rapport:

Building rapport is an important part of the sales prospecting process. This involves establishing a connection with the prospect, understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns they may have.

(k) Present Your Solution:

After you have built rapport, the next step is to present your solution. This involves explaining how your product or service can help the prospect achieve their goals or solve their problems.

(l) Follow-Up:

Follow-up is an essential part of the sales prospecting process. This involves maintaining contact with the prospect, answering any questions they may have, and addressing any concerns they may have.

(m) Closing Sales:

You will be responsible for closing sales and meeting or exceeding sales targets. This may involve negotiating terms, preparing contracts, and handling objections.
