SID Renos a streamlined, concept to completion general contracting company in Southern & Northern Ontario. We perform high quality, turnkey renovations for Residential & Commercial Properties. We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to service Sault Sainte Marie and surroundings areas.
Job Duties
- Aid in overseeing residential construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Plan, implement and monitor construction plans alongside the Project Manager
- Prepare daily progress reports and attach accompanying photos showing progress
- Assist with estimates and budget development for projects
- Aid in the management of construction site startup
- Ensure all required permits are obtained
- Ensure that safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times
- Aid in the coordination and direction of all contractors on worksites
- Ensure accurate and timely project close dates and adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
- Work alongside the Project Manager to resolve any constructional issues that may arise
- Ensure proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite prior to daily work commencing
- Source qualified contractors based on project needs
- Help with the development, monitoring and overseeing quality control measures on worksites
- Any other duties as required
*Requirements
- Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a construction related area of study is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of direct work experience working in residential construction
- Previous experience overseeing construction worksites would be considered an asset
- Ability to read blueprints, field drawings and plans
- A solid understanding of all residential construction trades and construction techniques
- Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities
- Results-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
- Understanding fundamentals of contracts and experience working with contractors
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related residential building codes
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
- Ability to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper management
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, travel to sites is required
