What’s the role?

The IT Virtual Administrator (Part-time or Full-time) will serve as the single point of contact providing desktop and systems support to end-users both internally and externally. They will maintain secure and confidential information while troubleshooting and resolving moderately complex software/ hardware problems.

Here’s what could be included in a typical day:

  • Assist customers and internal employees in resolving technical problems by providing guidance regarding software and hardware problems
  • Logs and tracks inquiries using a problem management database and maintains history records and related problem documentation
  • Resolves and/or refers to more complex technical problems through a defined escalation process.
  • Follows up with customers to ensure that their inquiries are resolved within the contracted or agreed-upon time frame
  • Serve as front-line contact for customers by providing support through all our inbound channels including telephone calls, emails, live web chat as required
  • Manage support cases to resolution and engage other teams as appropriate
  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and document resolution of issues encountered by Jobvite customers through use of internal support tools and knowledgebases
  • Contribute to technical and functional solutions (issue/resolution and question/answer) by documentation


  • 3+ years in an IT Help Desk role required
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or similar preferred


  • Windows desktop and server environments (7 and above) as well as Office 365 and exchange online
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Experience using and administering multiple cloud platforms
  • Proficient in various backup tools, methodology, and creating redundancy
  • Active Directory maintenance and UAC sustainment, Driver Updates, Malware Removal, Anti-Virus Software, Firewall configuration and network monitoring tools
  • Remote connectivity tools such as TeamViewer, RDP, Cisco Meraki, Apple DEP
  • Very comfortable at supporting multiple in resident and cloud platforms as well as collaboration
  • Experienced at DNS configuration.
  • Strong understanding of security principle and setting security policies
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
