Job Description

Iron Age Industrial is seeking a full time Qualified Heavy Duty mechanic. This position is primarily field work in remote Yukon locations. Competitive wages and service truck provided.

Duties

  • Field Work remote locations with limited cell range.
  • Perform service, repair and diagnostic and preventative maintenance to heavy equipment, trucks and trailers
  • Perform procurement of parts and materials
  • Diagnose, recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete reports and documentation as required, maintain good records
  • 5  Years experience
  • Apprentices with field experience would be considered
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications
  • Strong technical background and capable of effective communication with technicians and customers regarding parts and service
  • Successful completion of Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship and achievement of Journeyperson status (Interprovincial Red Seal)
