Job Description

Description and Responsibilities

  • We travel to different communities in BC and sell frozen seafood. We’ve been in business since 1999.
  • Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to sell frozen seafood to a solid customer base around the Kootenays and the Okanagan.
  • We are looking for a competent, good-natured, outgoing and honest guy to drive and sell for us.
  • The pay is $300 average a day (with opportunity for more based on volume sold).
  • We ask that our driver/seller maintains a thorough understanding of our frozen seafood product offerings including types, quality, pricing and promotions.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, promoting our frozen seafood products and upselling additional items to increase revenue, we can show you how to do that on our training run.
  • Keep accurate records of sales,  and gas receipts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the delivery vehicle while you are working.
  • We look forward to having you on board with our team.
  • This job allows you to travel and work from where you currently live.
  • The runs are between and 5 and 12 days long, so must be willing to be away from home for a couple of weeks at a time.
  • This position allows you to enjoy time with family for January and February (which are our off months, it’s usually pretty slow for sales so we take that time off.

Requirements

  • Must have class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract, be good with people and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to hand out Druther’s newspaper in each bag of seafood we sell.
  • Pay will be by commission but as stated earlier it will average around $300 a day with opportunity to make more, we have had some salesmen make over $500 in a day. We will discuss the percentage during interview.
